Abstract
The Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST) consists of four stimulus cards and a response deck. The previous administration consisted of two response decks, each consisting of 64 cards; as of 1999, the administration of the WCST became manualized, resulting in one response deck with 128 cards. The cards contain geometric shapes that vary according to form (e.g., circle, square, triangle, or cross), color (e.g., red, green, blue, or yellow), and number (e.g., one, two, three, or four). The WCST is now a computerized test unusual to clients because little information about how to do the task is given. The test is a major measure of executive function, flexibility, and reasoning.
