One of the remarkable paradoxes in contemporary American medicine is the presence of a vague but definite malaise surrounding radiologic diagnosis at a time of unparalleled excitement and accomplishment in the development of imaging hardware and techniques. Diagnostic data of previously unimaginable, virtually anatomic precision are now widely available.
