Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical value of a CT-based classification system,Three-column classification,in treatment of tibial plateau fractures. Methods 32 cases of tibial plateau fractures were analyzed retrospectively. They were divided into matched group(21 cases)and nonmatched group(11 cases) according to the internal fixation methods.Rasmussen score was applied to assess the ORIF efficience and modified HSS score to assess the postoperative knee function. The differences of the ORIF efficience and postoperative knee function between the two groups were compared respectively. Results The follow-up period of all 32 cases ranged from 6 to 46 months.Rasmussen scores hadn′t significiant differences between the early postoperative and final follow-up period in matched group(P0.05) while had significant differences in nomatched group(P0.05).There were significiant differences in Rasmussen Scores and final follow-up modified HSS scores between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusions Three-column classification can help to guide the surgical planning to gain more excellent reduction and more reliable maintenance. It is beneficial to knee function rehabitation.
