Treating femoral shaft fractures with limited incision replacement and inter-locking intramedullary nail

Abstract
Objective To study the curative effects of limited incision replacement and inter-locking intramedullary nail in the treatment of femoral shaft fractures.Methods Fifty-four cases of femoral shaft fractures treated by limited incision replacement with inter-locking intramedullary nail were analysed retrospectively.Results Follow-up for 12 months~18 months(average,14 months)showed bone union in all the patients.92.6 percent of all cases showed excellent function of joints and limbs.Conclusion The application of limited incision replacement with inter-locking intramedullary nail in the treatment of femoral shaft fractures has advantages of firm fixation,high healing rate,early movement and less complications.
