Abstract
Objective To explore the methods and curative effect of locking intramedullary nail with limited open reduction for treatment of femoral shaft fracture.Methods Retrospective analysis was conducted in 72 patients with femora lshaft fractures treated with limited open locking intramedullary nails from January 2002 to June 2007.Results The operative time ranged from 50 to 90 min,60 min on average,and the average bleeded was 200ml.All patients were followed up at least 18 months.The bone unionrate was 100% and the average bone union time was 6 ~8months.According to the Hohl's score standard: the excellent were 64,the good were 5,and the excellentand good rates were96%.Conclusion Interlocking intramedullary nail with limited o pen reductionis an ideal therapeutics method for femoral shaft fracture without periosteum Stripping and with fracture hematomaretained during operation.At the same ime,the sur gery time is shorter and X-rad harm is avoided.The fixation is reliable and simple with less trauma.
