Abstract
Objective:To investigate a simple,minimally invasive,safe and effective method to treat the unstable frac- tures of femur by the use of limited internal fixation with Bastianti external fixation devices.Methods:Thirty-eight cases of the unstable fracture of femur were treated by wire fixation with Bastianti external fixation devices since 1996.Results: Their reductions were satisfactory and early rehabilitative exercise was taken postoperatively.All the fractures were healed and their functions were restored.Conclusion:The method of treating the unstable fracture of femur by the use of limited in- ternal fixation with Bastianti external fixation devices can cause little injury.The operation is safe,reliable and easy to treat the unable femur fractures.
