Abstract
In the published paper, "In Brief: Gustilo-Anderson Classification", a parenthetical in a sentence incorrectly stated: "(greater than 60% of open fractures are Type III, according to one epidemiologic study [10])". The sentence should be corrected to read: "With ranges like that, it became evident that the variation in severity, etiology, and prognosis of Type III injuries made a single classification insufficiently specific for the task at hand; the frequency of these injuries (greater than 40% of tibial open fractures are Type III, according to one epidemiologic study [10]), made that issue even more pressing." The authors apologize for the error.
