Application of clipping femoral artery temporaly in multiple open comminuted fractures of lower limb

Abstract

Objective To investigate the of clipping the homonymy femoral artery temporaly on reducing hemorrhagg of multiple open comminuted fractures of lower limb.Methods The clinical data of patients were reviewed,common debridement,reduction and internal fixation for the multiple open comminuted fractures of lower limb (32 cases) were performed in the control group.On the basis of aDove treatment,clipping the homonymy femoral artery temporaly at the groin area was performed in the study group to reduce hemorrhage at the same time.The operation time and the hemorrhage volume were compared between the two groups.Results The time of the operation after femoral artery clamped in the experimental group was (149 ±74) minutes,the hemorrhage volume was (827 ±509) ml; The time in the control group was (221 ± 45 ) minutes,and the hemorrhage volume was ( 1652 ± 707) ml.The difference between the two group was statistical significant ( P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions To clip the homonymy femoral artery temporaly can reduce the hemorrhage volume and the operation time obviously in the multiple open comminuted fractures of lower limb,thus have certain clinical application value.
