Abstract
This chapter aims to offer insight on Coronaviruses and the use of IoT-and artificial intelligence-driven tools for detection, prediction, and identification of drugs and vaccines. It highlights the strains, transmission, and symptoms of coronaviruses. The chapter overviews the general use of IoT- and artificial intelligence-driven tools for detection, prediction, and identification of drugs and vaccines against coronaviruses. The allocation of resources and prediction of patients that could be at risk of developing acute respiratory distress syndrome are very critical in controlling and preventing Coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic. The application of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector is gradually transforming the sector due to its broad application in the detection of diseases, clinical diagnosis, drug discovery, and analysis of medical records. The use of AI-driven tools is aiding epidemiologist for prediction of outbreak and screening of potential drugs against newly discovered diseases. The application of artificial intelligence and machine learning is transforming the field of medicine and the health care sectors.
