Abstract
This chapter aims to address the issue regarding computers—intended as intelligent algorithms—as able to aid the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Several studies have investigated the utility of using machine learning methods coupled with neuroimaging, biological, or behavioral features for improving the accuracy of the diagnosis. We report an overview of several clinical applications that strongly encourage the use of computer-based diagnosis in the clinical practice of AD, opening new perspectives in the early management of AD patients.
