Abstract
Recent artificial intelligence (AI) developments in the way machines learn have now made it possible for AI to generate media content-image, sound, and text. The highly realistic output of AI-generated media content implants the question of whether we can still tell the difference between what is AI or human. In consequence, this paper explores the socio-ethical implications of this type of content. As a starting point for the discussion, an illustrative experiment packaged as a game of trivia was conducted and played by 2383 participants which generated a total of 24502 guesses in differentiating between AI or humans. The socio-ethical analysis provides insights into how this phenomenon unfolds and its implications for our future.
