Abstract
Proper erythropoietin handling and administration is a critical process contributing to effective anemia treatment in dialysis patients and minimizing side effects like pure cell aplasia as erythropoietin is heat sensitive. Poor documentation, unscheduled erythropoietin ordering contributing to insufficient stock and inappropriate erythropoietin storage may affect the erythropoietin delivery and compromise patient’s safety.
