Integrating AI ethics across the computing curriculum

Abstract

As the impact of Artificial Intelligence on communities and society grows, so does the importance of training new generations of technologists to design AI with people’s needs and futures at the centre of the process. In this chapter, we summarize a variety of pedagogical approaches to doing so, and argue for integrating the ethics of AI and technology across the computing curriculum. This pedagogical distribution of ethical concerns reflects the increasing distribution of AI and algorithms across all our daily lives.
