Abstract
The expanding COVID-19 epidemic has emphasized the critical need for accurate diagnostic instruments. Artificial intelligence (AI) has recently emerged as a viable instrument for COVID-19 diagnosis owing to its enhanced detection accuracy, quicker speed, and scalability. This manuscript analyzes existing AI-based algorithms for identifying COVID-19. Multiple types of artificial intelligence (ML, DL, and CV) are employed to evaluate chest X-ray and CT scan data for indications of COVID-19. The proposed work investigates how AI may complement existing diagnostic techniques, such as polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing and ubiquitous technologies, and also discuss research voids and the limitations of AI-based solutions. Academics, healthcare professionals, and policymakers can use the study’s findings to make more informed decisions regarding COVID-19 testing and treatment.
