Abstract
L arsen et al conducted a retrospective study to examine AI risk scores assigned to screening mammograms in patients with screen-detected cancers and interval cancers.AI risk scores were obtained on mammograms at diagnosis and prior mammograms from five breast centers in Norway.Transpara version 1.7.0 (ScreenPoint Medical) was used to provide malignancy risk scores ranging from 1 to 10: Scores of 1-7 were considered low risk, 8-9 were considered intermediate, and 10 was considered high risk. The authors found that 88% (1697 of 1929) of screening mammograms at diagnosis of screen-detected cancers received the highest AI risk score of 10.On the most recent prior screening mammogram performed within 2 years (one screening interval) before diagnosis, 389 of 1016 (38.3%) patients with screen-detected cancer and 231 of
