Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a major force in healthcare, providing new ways to improve patient results and make professional processes more efficient. This chapter looks at the future trends and chances of AI-powered healthcare, focused on how it can be used in general medicine and anesthesia. In family medicine, AI could change the way patients are cared for by using electronic health records to create personalized treatment plans, making patient screening and risk assessment more efficient, and using predictive analytics to better handle chronic diseases. Telemedicine systems and online tracking tools that are driven by AI can also make it easier for people to get care and get involved, especially in rural or neglected areas. In the same way, AI has the potential to improve perioperative care in anesthesia by helping with planning and assessing patients before surgery, watching patients during surgery and helping doctors make decisions in real time, and allowing for personalized care plans after surgery. AI programs can help anesthesiologists give anesthesia in a safer and more effective way, which can lead to better results for patients and fewer problems. Even with these improvements, problems like data protection, sharing, and following the rules need to be fixed before AI can fully be used in healthcare. It is believed that future advances in AI, such as better machine learning techniques and natural language processing, will make AI-driven healthcare systems even better. This paper looks at case studies and current trends in AI-driven healthcare to show how AI will be used in general medicine and anesthesia in the future. As AI keeps getting better, it could change the way healthcare is provided, make it more affordable, and improve patient results. This makes the field very interesting and full of chances for growth and new ideas.
