Abstract
New ideas like responsible artificial intelligence (RAI) and explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) are being used in dentistry to make care for patients better and solve ethical and practical problems. This chapter looks at the ideas behind RAI and XAI and how they are used in dentistry. It discusses much about how important these tools are and how they might affect oral health. Diagnostic tools driven by AI can help dentists find oral problems, look at dental images, and guess how treatment will work. To sum up, XAI and RAI offer good chances for making AI applications in dentistry more useful, clear, and morally sound.
