Abstract
This chapter examines the educational workforce’s readiness for AI-enhanced cybersecurity through a thematic and trend analysis of 54 peer-reviewed articles. The study identifies four critical trends shaping this domain: the persistent skills gap in training educators, the adoption of interdisciplinary teaching approaches, the use of innovative pedagogical methodologies, and academia–industry collaborations to bridge knowledge and application gaps. Findings reveal the urgency of addressing challenges such as outdated curricula, insufficient professional development, and the underutilization of emerging teaching tools like gamification and adaptive learning platforms. The chapter offers actionable insights into transforming educational practices to meet the demands of this dynamic field while suggesting future research directions, including longitudinal studies on the impact of interdisciplinary teaching and the effectiveness of innovative training models in developing cybersecurity expertise.
