Abstract
This study aimed to determine the Turkish validity and reliability of the TAME-ChatGPT questionnaire tool based on the Technology Acceptance Model. The study included 541 nursing students and used a methodological approach. Data were collected via an online survey, which included a socio-demographic form and the TAME-ChatGPT questionnaire, comprising two scales: the ChatGPT Attitude Scale and the ChatGPT Usage Scale. Statistical analyses included frequency/percentage, mean, standard deviation, factor analysis, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, and item-total correlation. Results showed that 59.1% of students had previously heard of ChatGPT. Of those, 42.8% had utilised the ChatGPT prior to their participation in the study. The ChatGPT Attitude Scale explained 72.808% of the total variance, while the ChatGPT Usage Scale explained 73.869%. The sub-dimensions of both scales demonstrated satisfactory reliability with Cronbach’s alpha values exceeding 0.72. The TAME-ChatGPT tool is a valid and reliable instrument for assessing ChatGPT attitudes and usage among Turkish nursing students.
