ChatGPT provides accurate clinical recommendations and reliable patient information regarding common retinal conditions making it a valuable educational resource for medical professionals. However, concerns about comprehension levels and potential inaccuracies in responses persist, alongside ethical considerations. As artificial intelligence technology evolves, careful integration of ChatGPT in ophthalmology is essential to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes in vision care.
