Abstract
The rapid digital transformation introduced Electronic Health Records (EHRs), telemedicine, and IoT devices, improving patient care but also exposing healthcare data to cybersecurity risks. This paper proposes integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain to enhance healthcare security. AI offers real-time threat detection and automated response, while Blockchain provides decentralized, immutable, secure data storage. The review highlights traditional security framework limitations, AI and Blockchain's unique functions, and their combined benefits. Key applications include secure EHR sharing, IoT device security, and AI-Enabled Smart Contracts. Despite the potential, challenges like scalability, ethics, and regulatory issues (HIPAA, GDPR) persist. Case studies demonstrate the success of AI-Blockchain integration in healthcare. The paper concludes with future research directions and recommendations for professionals adopting these technologies to ensure secure, efficient healthcare delivery.
