Abstract

This paper explores the role of ChatGPT v4 as a decision-support tool in Human Resource Management (HRM), specifically focusing on its ability to solve Human Resource Allocation Problems (HRAP).ChatGPT's performance is evaluated across three classic HR allocation scenarios: the classic assignment problem, the classic assignment problem recognizing agent qualifications and the k-cardinality assignment problem.By using natural language to describe tasks as a manager would, the study simulates real-world HR decision-making.In addition, the solutions provided is verified by comparing them to results produced by a Python optimization solver.This method aims to verify that the output of the ChatGPT system is accurate and optimized relative to traditional optimization methods, providing a thorough evaluation of its performance.
