Abstract

Over the last twenty years, there has been a notable surge in the area of artificial intelligence research, which has sparked the attention of academic experts. This research aims to map out the implications of artificial intelligence on educational institutions. The study focuses on the current areas of artificial intelligence and educational institutions. It uses bibliometric approaches to detect important gaps and omissions in the literature. The research obtained 339 studies from the Scopus database using keyword searching. Analytical methodologies have been used to identify major journals, many authors, countries, and organizations, thus contributing to the existing information on artificial intelligence and educational institutions. Techniques like bibliographic coupling have been used to get a deeper comprehension of the conceptual and intellectual structure. Ultimately, the findings of the literature review study will provide a roadmap for future research.
