Abstract
As artificial intelligence (AI) technologies become increasingly embedded in educational contexts, the ethical implications of their integration demand urgent and comprehensive attention. This chapter provides a structured exploration of the ethical challenges and opportunities associated with Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED). It critically examines dimensions such as transparency, accountability, fairness, data privacy, and equity, particularly in diverse and under-resourced educational settings. Drawing on global guidelines and scholarly discourse, the chapter introduces the Nonuple+ Ethical Framework , a practical, pedagogically grounded model designed to guide teachers and learners in navigating ethical issues in AI-enhanced learning environments. The framework combines foundational digital competencies with ethical principles, emphasizing the value of human agency, academic well-being, and inclusive access to open educational resources. Through qualitative evaluation strategies and real-world examples, the chapter outlines how educational institutions can adopt and adapt this model to foster responsible, equitable, and context-sensitive AI use across all levels of education, including early childhood. The chapter aims to empower educators and policymakers to implement ethical AI practices that uphold human dignity, reduce digital inequalities, and promote meaningful learning experiences in the age of AI.
