Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) has rapidly evolved over the past two decades, driven by advancements in digital imaging, machine learning, and computational power. In dentistry, AI has begun to transform tasks previously dependent on human expertise, offering opportunities to enhance diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient care. Applications range from identifying normal and pathological oral structures to optimizing decision-making and improving treatment outcomes. This review discusses both present applications and potential future directions for AI in oral healthcare.
