Abstract
This chapter reviews the changing role of teachers in K-12 and college lecture rooms as ChatGPT, intelligent tutoring systems and adaptive learning systems become trendier. It also points out the advantages of Artificial Intelligence (AI), i.e., the relief of teachers, individualization of the lesson and valuable data about business. The topics of interest are the willingness to teach, qualified tuition programs, and the effects that it may have on relationships between students and their teachers and AI-based teaching methods. These insights are collected with the help of research techniques that range between surveys, focus groups, literature reviews, and case studies. This review points to the significance of listening to the voices of teachers, acknowledging their concerns, and giving them the resources, training, and guidance on successful integration of AI. It also calls to the ethical design and deployment of AI, with the emphasis on fairness, openness and accountability.
