Abstract
ABSTRACT This article provides an overview of Digital Health, including advancements in devices, connectivity, data, and patient-centered technologies. Key trends and pressures that are confronting Health Care as well as the responses by Life Sciences companies that develop innovative products and treatments seeking to improve Health Care are discussed. Several examples are presented that illustrate how digital technology transforms Health Care. Finally, a perspective on the future is provided: what is likely to emerge, and what will probably remain in the realm of science fiction.
