Large Language Models and Their Applications in the Military Field

Abstract

As a cutting-edge achievement in the field of deep learning, large language models (LLMs) possess exceptional natural language processing capabilities such as text generation, knowledge reasoning, and semantic understanding. Focusing on the military field, this paper initially constructs a specialized fine-tuning dataset and a knowledge question-answering system for military based on Large Language Models (LLMs) by analyzing the principles and training processes of LLMs. Experimental results show that the system can efficiently generate accurate knowledge in the equipment domain, achieving scores of 26.56, 18.88, 35.24, and 28.98 in the four evaluation metrics of ROUGE-1, ROUGE-2, ROUGE-L, and BLEU-2, respectively. Additionally, the paper conducts a forward-looking analysis on the future development direction of LLMs in the military field, providing theoretical support and practical references for the advancement of military intelligentization.
