AI-Enabled Smart Healthcare System for Intelligent Patient Management

Abstract
This study presents Hygeia-Nexus, an AI-enabled hospital management system that unifies healthcare administration and diagnostic intelligence on a secure web platform. Developed using the MERN stack with integrated Flask-based CNN models and Gemini API support, the system automates patient management, billing, laboratory workflows, and disease detection for six critical conditions including brain tumors and pneumonia. Experimental validation demonstrated diagnostic accuracy above 90% with near real-time inference and robust scalability under concurrent usage. The platform ensures HIPAA-compliant security through AES-256 encryption and JWT-based access control. The results indicate that Hygeia-Nexus significantly improves diagnostic efficiency and operational performance, positioning it as a reliable, intelligent healthcare solution for modern clinical environments.
