Abstract
Introduction: Artificial Intelligence was introduced in almost all human activities and can mean a major change in human care and more effective performance of tasks such as diagnosis and early detection of diseases, in addition to treatment monitoring, patient safety, consultation by evidence and tests and constant communication. Objective: to explore Artificial Intelligence innovations in nursing and early disease diagnosis aimed at improving the efficiency of human care. Method: Document review, in scientific databases such as PubMed, Scielo and search engines such as Google Scholar, of information from the last 8 years. Using the PRISMA method, the inclusion criteria are: complete scientific articles, and technological information with keywords: use of AI for nursing diagnoses, NANDA, NIC, NOC, early identification of clinical manifestations and symptoms, from the last 8 years. Results: Twenty-one documents were selected. The contents were organized according to categories of the significance of AI in the diagnosis and early identification of diseases, the impact of AI on healthcare, and new AI developments for nursing. Conclusions: The application of AI in the healthcare field reports significant benefits in efficiency, accuracy, and support to healthcare professionals, as it serves for the diagnosis and early identification of diseases. AI innovations for nursing and health sciences occur daily throughout the world.
