Abstract

Abstract Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming a critical driver of quality improvement in higher education. Educational quality today is reflected in stronger learning outcomes, fair and reliable assessment, efficient teaching support, enhanced student success, and trustworthy institutional governance. Recent evidence shows that the most significant impacts of AI emerge from three core developments: generative AI, learning analytics with predictive modeling, and AI-supported assessment and academic management systems. These technologies enable personalized learning, data-informed decision-making, early identification of student risk, and more transparent quality assurance processes. The strategic integration of AI is therefore essential for building effective, equitable, and future-ready higher education systems.
