Abstract
The research climate in Artificial Intelligence and Adaptive Learning from 1999 to 2024 was critically assessed using Scopus data through a combined method of bibliometricmapping and literature analysis. Analysis of issue areas, social networks, stakeholder profiles, and trends in AI-AL research publications were conducted. The trends in the publication of AI-AL research from 1999 to 2024 were somewhat small. Stakeholder profile study reveals that AI-AL researchers are from a variety of countries and include a number of authors. Université Chouaib Doukkali and Nanyang Technological University are the most productive institutions, and Pinto T. is the most productive researcher. Social network study revealed substantial, active, and broad links between China, the US, and India. The National Natural Science Foundation of China is the most active funder of AI-AL research, having funded 52 papers. Humans and civilizations around the world are impacted by AI AL in several ways, including socially, economically, and environmentally, according to the study.
