Abstract
Managing and utilizing the growing volume of scholarly publications has become increasingly complex, as traditional digital systems often fail to provide comprehensive or deeper insights into scientific texts. Advances in Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) now enable automated methods for analyzing, classifying, and summarizing scientific literature, uncovering patterns and knowledge that were previously difficult to access. This workshop brings together experts from computational linguistics, machine learning, text mining, information retrieval, digital libraries, and scientometrics to address these challenges and explore innovative solutions. We welcome submissions that present novel approaches, datasets, or tools for knowledge discovery in scholarly publications, as well as studies that consider reproducibility, research integrity, inclusive, and the societal impact of scholarly communication. The goal is to foster collaboration and advance methods that improve the accessibility, understanding, and application of scientific knowledge. We accepted four papers out of the eight extended abstracts.
