Abstract
This study investigates how AI-based educational tools impact student engagement and perceived learning outcomes in Philippine tourism and hospitality programs. Using the ABC framework (Affective, Behavioral, Cognitive) for engagement and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), the study tested 24 hypotheses through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS. Data was collected from 350 students via stratified sampling. Constructs included digital literacy, personalized learning, general attitudes toward AI, and engagement dimensions. Results indicate that student engagement is significantly shaped by AI experiences, while behavioral intention mediates the relationship between perceived usefulness, social influence, and actual tool usage. The study offers practical implications for digital pedagogy design and AI curriculum alignment in hospitality education.
