Abstract
Generative AI chatbots have emerged as a transformative technology in multiple domains, including education, healthcare, business, and customer service. This paper presents a systematic review of the literature from 2015 to 2025, analyzing the evolution, applications, and performance of generative AI chatbots. We synthesize findings on the technological frameworks, domain-specific use cases, and evaluation metrics. Finally, we discuss current challenges, open research gaps, and potential directions for future research in this rapidly evolving field.
