Fusion Technologies in Governance

Abstract

The combination of AI algorithms and extensive augmented reality technologies, is revolutionizing the service delivery in the occupational sector in the form of intelligent, immersive, and citizen-driven digital ecosystems. The government is able to process vast quantities of data automatically, predict the needs of the society and automate its operations through AI, and use AR to engage more people through superimposing real-time, context-driven information onto the environment of the user involved. Collectively, the technologies will aid in responsive and accountable governance in the sector of healthcare, urban governance, transport, education, and emergency services. Their intersection enhances transparency, efficiency, and accessibility and it also allows to engage citizens and government systems more intuitively. These opportunities, however, have their share of challenges associated with privacy, capacity of the infrastructure, digital equity, and regulation.
