Abstract
Students’ intention to continue using ChatGPT for academic purposes is investigated in this study. A structured questionnaire was created to gather first-hand information from software engineering students in order to accomplish this goal. Here, finds the relevant financing agency. Delete this if there are none. 285 valid responses were analyzed using the Expectation Confirmation Model (ECM) and Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results suggest that users’ enjoyment (EN) is strongly influenced by task skills (TS) and task difficulty (TC), and that pleasure has a good correlation with student satisfaction. The results further indicate that student satisfaction (SA) increases through the confirmation of perceived usefulness (PU). In addition, satisfaction with ChatGPT is found to be a key determinant of students’ continuance intention (CI) to use the tool for academic activities. Overall, the study provides empirical evidence on the factors shaping sustained academic use of ChatGPT among university students.
