Abstract
This research introduces a comprehensive AI-driven framework that integrates generative artificial intelligence with Extended Reality (XR) glasses to visualize diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) progression and induce behavioral change for improved treatment adherence by leveraging LoRA-trained Stable Diffusion models. Our system employs multiple LoRA adapters trained on multi-stage DFU datasets to synthesize progression sequences. This framework is intended as a potential tool to help low-income populations from neglecting minor wounds due to limited access to healthcare, which often leads to serious complications requiring interventions such as amputation. This research advances the intersection of generative AI and spatial computing in healthcare, establishing a new paradigm for personalized patient education and behavioral treatment. Reader discretion is advised, as this paper contains realistic computer-generated imagery of DFU.
