Analysis and Prevention of Blood Transfusion Risks

Abstract

Blood transfusion is a high-risk medical practice.Blood transfusion safety involves all aspects of medical profession,and the medical disputes resulting from blood transfusion have increased year after year.Lack of risk awareness and function sense,insufficient allocation of personnel and equipment,and weak process management are main risks of blood transfusion existing in hospital management.In the clinical departments,the main risks include inadequate informing obligation,non-standard request,unsuitable indications,careless checking before blood administration,and incomplete records.As for transfusion laboratory,the main risks include non-standard transfusion testing,less compatible transfusion,careless checking,lack of quality awareness,lack of biosafety consciousness,poor information management and service.Therefore,all medical personnel should carefully analyze the risks in blood transfusion,and take appropriate precautionary measures to improve blood transfusion safety.
