Abstract
[Objective]To investigate the therapeutic effects of digital orthopedics technique in tibial pilon fractures.[Method]A total of 40 patients with tibial pilon fractures were assigned into group A and group B.Patients in the group A received open reduction and internal fixation of fracture under the assistance of digital orthopedics technique and those in the group B were only routinely treated with open reduction and internal fixation of fracture. The surgical time, blood loss, length of cut, hospital stay and healing time of patients were compared. At the same time,Burwell-Charnley scoring system was used to evaluate the degree of fracture reduction and Mazur scoring system was used to evaluate the ankle function of patients.[Result] The surgical time, blood loss in group A was less than in group B,the difference between the groups was statistically significant(P 0.05).The degree of fracture reduction and Mazur scoring in group A was more than in group B,the difference between the groups was statistically significant(P 0.05).[Conclusion]The application of digital orthopedic technique can reduce the surgical time of open reduction and internal fixation of pilon fractures. It also can improve the degree of fracture reduction and the ankle function of patients.
