Abstract
In medicine, personalizing patient treatment is a critical goal but difficult to achieve because of the complicated health and disease elements, such as genes or proteins, with unknown functions in human physiology. Hence, diagnosing, monitoring and managing disease necessitates developing biomarker discovery and following advances of precise correlations with dynamic disorders, conditions and therapeutic strategies that could be regularly enhanced and tailored. The Precision Medicine Initiative defines precision medicine (PM) as an evolving technique for preventing and treating illnesses and promoting health with the consideration of subjective variance in genetics, living and ecosystems in individuals. Artificial intelligence can play a critical role in PM. Nowadays, novel approaches can accumulate enormous quantities of genetic data coupled with data analytics for interpretation towards advanced understanding and precision. This chapter explores significant discoveries in developing supporting techniques to achieve the goal of PM.
