Abstract
In this chapter, we examine the state of real-world evidence (RWE) in Greater China, where the final guidance of RWE for regulatory purposes was issued. In Section 10.1, we present the opportunities of big data, which can be in the form of real-world data in China. In Section 10.2, we examine the potential benefits and challenges of digital innovation given the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Finally, global perspectives and future directions are provided.
