Abstract

<title>UNSTRUCTURED</title> The artificial intelligence (AI) model, ChatGPT, was evaluated for its ability to translate patient education materials from English into Spanish, Mandarin, and Russian. The translated materials were reviewed by board-certified dermatologists fluent in the target languages. Misinformation was prevalent in the Mandarin translations, and all languages showed instances of grammatical and spelling errors. However, the majority of reviewers agreed that the Russian and Spanish translations could be provided to a patient. The study highlights the potential of AI to facilitate patient education for patients with non-English language preferences and also highlights the need for review to ensure the accuracy of translated materials.
