Abstract
This study explores the acceptance and awareness of ChatGPT, an AI chatbot, among healthcare students and professionals. Data was collected from 370 participants through a questionnaire, revealing that while most participants were aware of ChatGPT and its potential in healthcare, many had not used it. Participants expressed a desire for training and identified barriers such as technical limitations, lack of personalization, and ethical concerns. Challenges associated with ChatGPT usage included concerns about replacing teachers, ethical issues, cybercrime, and increased plagiarism rates. Despite these challenges, participants recognized the potential of AI in healthcare, including augmented reality, machine learning, robotic surgery, and teaching strategies. The study emphasizes the need for continuous improvement and ethical considerations in developing AI chatbots like ChatGPT. These findings offer valuable insights for the future development and implementation of AI chatbot technologies in healthcare education.
