Abstract
We appreciate the opportunity to respond to the comments regarding our manuscript, “Conformity of ChatGPT recommendations with the AUA/SUFU guideline on postprostatectomy urinary incontinence.”1 We are grateful for the engagement with our work and the effort to further the discussion on the capabilities and limitations of ChatGPT versions 3.5 and 4 in the context of medical guidelines adherence. Upon reviewing the points raised, we note that many of the concerns mentioned, including the performance comparison between ChatGPT versions and their handling of conceptual, case-based questions, as well as identified shortcomings in areas such as assessment, available treatments, surgical complications, and unique circumstances, have been addressed within our manuscript. Our analysis aimed to provide a comprehensive evaluation of these aspects, highlighting both the progress made from version 3.5 to 4 and the areas where improvements are necessary. We concur with the reader's suggestion that future research involving ChatGPT could benefit from targeted enhancements in the identified weak areas. Collaboration with medical professionals and the integration of real-time feedback mechanisms are indeed promising approaches to refining the model's understanding of complex medical concepts and improving its overall accuracy in delivering medical information.2 Sincerely, The authors declare no conflict of interest.
