Abstract
Augmented reality (AR) is fast finding favour among stakeholders across industrial sectors, and this research aims to explore the potential of the technology through its use cases. With the help of real-world cases, the chapter deeply dives into the applications of AR across different industries and analyses how the technology can prove beneficial for stakeholders operating in different businesses. The study also proposes a conceptual framework that can help adopt the technology in the future by highlighting the importance of academics, industry, and policymakers for ensuring the widespread adoption of the technology. The study is significant because it offers wide-ranging implications for players and can prove instrumental in helping AR spread its wings far and wide across different businesses and industry verticals.
