Abstract
<title>UNSTRUCTURED</title> Triage is assuming a critical role within healthcare due to escalating healthcare demands and constrained resources. Triage technologies aim to support healthcare professionals in determining which cases need to be seen most urgently and by which professional. The evaluation and ongoing monitoring of digital triage tools, whilst broadly required by regulating bodies, is not standardised, with a lack of specific guidelines. This has led to uncertainty when it comes to appropriate methodology and calls for real-world evidence requirements. This paper argues that clinical feedback loops can provide an effective method of real-world clinical evidence generation and post-market surveillance that should be combined with other evaluation approaches as part of a comprehensive assessment strategy.
