Abstract
Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is characterized by cognitive decline, memory impairment, and communication difficulties that significantly impact daily life. It poses significant challenges for both patients and caregivers. Researchers have been focused on advancing the understanding of the disease and finding newer ways to better manage it. Recently, the emergence of Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Bard, etc., has opened new possibilities in natural language processing and understanding. The potential of LLMs in AD care becomes apparent as they offer opportunities to learn more about the disease and enhance communication between patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. By providing personalized assistance, LLMs can facilitate improved dialogue, support memory recall, and encourage social engagement. This chapter explores how LLMs can be effectively utilized in gaining insights about AD and their scope in patient care. The findings presented in this chapter contribute to a better understanding of the use cases of LLMs in Alzheimer’s Disease.
