Abstract
Artificial intelligence (AI) technology promises to have a transformative impact on several areas of healthcare. In this chapter, some key implications of radiology AI are discussed. The first section introduces several new capabilities enabled by current AI technology for medical imaging applications. The following section highlights major challenges such as inequalities in healthcare AI.
