Abstract
Healthcare technologies are responsible for critical health functions. From electronic health record databases to complex artificially intelligent medical devices, the future of human health is largely tethered to an internet connection. Healthcare technologies also collect, transfer, store, and retain some of the most sensitive personal information that can be created, from medical data to behavioral characteristics, biometric data, and genetic data. It is no surprise that most countries categorize health technologies as "critical infrastructure": their improper function can precipitate cataclysmic results.
